Well, we said we were going to form a group. Perhaps if we had someone with a clean record for these sorts of things ... they might offer to be a liasion with Duplicity's government.
[ Will didn't know what to expect when Hannibal answered the door. Part of him was almost excited, pleased even, in seeing a familiar face, a face he'd once called a friend. And then there was the confused part of him. The part that couldn't stop thinking about what he'd thought he'd done and how Hannibal would react. After all, Will recently threw up a human ear and was turning to the Doctor for guidance when he'd been pulled from that world and dropped into this one. As Hannibal answered the door, Will felt a hitch in his chest, his breath catching. For so long that voice, that rich and smooth as velvet voice had been the narrator of Will's inner monologue. ]
Hannibal.
[ Said with a curt nod as he stepped in when offered. Walking past his old friend slowly and looking around the home. Of course it was far nicer than the shabby apartment Will was currently dwelling in but that was no surprise, Hannibal always seemed to enjoy the finer things in life, why would that differ here/ ]
It eh, it's been a while, yea. I- honestly, I didn't know where else to go.
[ Hands in his pockets as he turns once the door was closed behind him, looking at Hannibal with that nervous, awkward look he often wore across his expression. ]
[Ah Will, there was so much you did not know yet. About who that ear belonged to, about what lay ahead of you from the hands of the man who is gently guiding you inside his home. Of course, when Hannibal sees those hands he thinks fondly of all the horrific things that Will has done to him in turn. All that dark potential that he had just missed. Missed because he lacked that fantastic imagination -- and the ability to see that he was a lost man the moment Will Graham met his gaze without glasses on.]
Yes ... yes it has.
[In so many ways. He cannot tell Will yet of their last moment together on the cliff, but for now, he can be the comforting friend he was in the past.]
You know you are always welcomed sanctuary in my home, Will. No matter what.
[He gestured for Will to follow him back into his new kitchen - which was still the center of his universe.] How have you been settling in the Down?
[in her best junior politician voice] I think that sounds like an excellent idea to not only build a sense of community, but also bridge the gaps between dominants and submissives by building a place for us all to share equally, without regard for who is which designation.
[back to normal] Which is a fancy way of saying, go for it.
...they'd buy it. They'd want to tear the entire city down and of course I'd talk them out of it, but they'd buy it. The Mistress knows I've been behaving badly for a long, long time.
[she takes the sandwich gratefully and takes a precise bite out of it]
Hey, you've been here a lot longer than me. You know how this place works and where its weak points are. I defer to your judgement while maintaining a voice of my own.
Yeah. After what...happened in Realignment, I think they were both ready to tear the place to the ground. I had to act like it didn't bother me to keep them from doing something they'd regret.
[she takes another neat little bite out of her sandwich, chews, and swallows] Really? That could be really useful, especially for people who are new and submissives without contracts.
I believe we already have one - I will want to go out and inspect the property to see if it has everything it needs or if building an entirely new one would be more viable.
