[ How many dinners have passed at this point? Probably a few, but not that often. As people disappeared, or were released, and everything moving around on Hannibal's end, it might have been a good bit of time since they last hung around one another. Judar certainly seemed to distance himself whenever people started to disappear, waiting and making sure no one else was about to pull the same thing in the span of a couple of days. It was easier to just work, or float around, where change didn't matter all that much.

Yet for as much as he'd avoid talking about it, or other personal subjects, the young man was prone to chronic loneliness. It was simply very clear that someone had purposefully raised the magi into expressing that in a manner that would have the opposite intended effect, even if it's something he'd been working on. Magic, interesting projects and (loosely) political stuff? As easy to talk about as sex. Vulnerability or trying to ask for things that're more than part of an evening? Almost as difficult as it is to know what he really wants or likes (past certain foods and shallow stuff like that.)

Judar's been trying to push himself into doing things that are healthy and normal for people, but completely different territory. Hence sending off a message while on break, after probably being off doing his 'own thing' the past couple weeks. ]

[Hannibal had been busy with other matters - clients. Mourning the loss of Abigail. Hunting down the charlatan EROS. Judar and he had made several interesting connections over the months, and Hannibal always found Judar's mannerisms ... less than boring.

Entertaining enough that he did not kill the young man and eat him for his cheek. After all, Judar never reached out unless there was something troubling him. Hannibal had to wonder what it was. He also had to wonder if he could prod it into some interesting foreplay.]

He's not sure what actually brings him back to trying to talk to anyone. Maybe it's that Hannibal is one of the only people still here that he knows now, though not as well as he would have liked. Maybe it's that he feels like he's going to go insane if he doesn't get out of his head somehow.

How much do you charge for your therapy services? You're the only non-native therapist I could find in looking through the network. I don't want sex, if that's some sort of extra charge. I just need advice on something. A single session would likely suffice.

[Hannibal had gotten quite a few requests like this, but few had so bluntly told him, 'I don't want to have sex with you, just talk once.' He eyed the Rolodex near his desk, sighed, and just responded directly.]

The average cost per session is $120 per hour. I do not offer sexual surrogacy services as of yet - I am working on getting the required license. When would you like to meet to get your advice?

At some point Hannibal's phone will go off and signal that an image has been sent over text, and if the doctor cares to open it the image will reveal Yuri half-dressed in an elaborate Victorian outfit, though it's disheveled and open to reveal more skin as the boy lies back on his shabby bed in the Down. His legs are splayed open and he has a clearly seductive expression, tongue sticking out in a sinfully playful way. It could be a misfire, or it could clearly be there to titillate the man. Regardless of what Hannibal thinks at first, the second message confirms the intention. ]

[Hannibal only checks messages on his device between sessions and on his lunch break, until the end of the day. This message is luckily between back to back sessions - so he doesn't see it until he is closing up the office for the night.

He pauses at the door, mid-locking it, and both his eyebrows raise at the message left for him. He locks the door, and sends a reply.]

Well, the most successful therapy dealing with addiction is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I would teach you coping mechanisms to keep you from viewing smoking as a viable option. I will also help you recognize the risky behavior that might lead you to ... steal a smoke, and hurt yourself and others around you.
